From Doubt to Desperation

 

There was a time I questioned whether God was even real. I experienced a hurt done by "believers" that made a world without God's existence easier to bear. Little by little I drifted from any and all accountability. In that season, I turned to the world and the world had its own plan, striking me with an addiction that would challenge everything I thought I knew about “myself”. 

 

Searching for a Way Out

 

I tried rehab but couldn’t connect with its structure, so I left and fell even deeper. As years went by, the darkness grew thicker until one day, broken and desperate, I cried out for help. I sought healing anywhere I could find it, but nothing brought peace. Each attempt left me emptier than before.

 

The Turning Point

 

Then, at the end of what felt like a failed retreat, I met a couple whom the facility highly recommended. That’s when I was first introduced to deliverance work  — That was when my relationship with God would be affirmed for the first time in my life.

 

That encounter led me into a revelation of my worth in God’s eyes. I wept like I never had before. For the first time, I felt the reality of His love and forgiveness.

 

A Shared Awakening

 

Later, I introduced my girlfriend — now my wife — to the same couple the Lord had used. That day I saw a vision of my calling: to help others find the very freedom I would soon encounter through my journey.  Soon after, I began formal training in South America to learn more about deliverance work. I also learned natural means in dealing with the strong-man, and entities. 

 

Led by the Spirit

 

As my understanding deepened, the Holy Spirit took my training further. God opened my eyes to the truth that our struggles are not of flesh and blood, but spiritual. I witnessed deliverance that words could hardly describe. For the first time in my life, I knew peace — with God, with myself, and with the world around me.

Mind you, we all are work in progress, but we must be awake at all times. 

 

May we press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of us!(Philippians 3:12)

 

A Life Redeemed for a Purpose

 

I now live to serve under the lordship of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit has turned my training into a mission:

 

“To proclaim freedom for the captives and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free.” — Luke 4:18

 

He who has been forgiven much, loves much.

I thank the Lord daily for leading His body “the church” to freedom, holiness and redemption. 

​

We know that the Lord needs no earthly tool to make Himself known. Still, He has entrusted us with a mission in this season- one we are called to steward faithfully until He unveils the next chapter of His plan.
